Flexible enclosed planting pads filled with a nutrient-rich substrate mix designed for aquatic and marsh plants. Can be positioned on glass, hardscape, substrate surfaces and other aquascaping structures before being concealed beneath sand, gravel or decorative materials. Traditional planted aquariums often rely on spreading nutrient substrates across the entire aquarium floor. While effective, this can reduce flexibility during layout changes and create challenges when combining cosmetic substrates with nutrient-rich planting media.
WIO AquaGrow was developed to create isolated planting zones that provide plants with a dedicated root environment while preserving freedom throughout the rest of the aquascape. Using a flexible enclosed substrate system, planting areas can be positioned independently without requiring the entire aquarium base to become active substrate.
The result is greater control over plant placement, cleaner substrate separation and more flexibility during layout construction.

The root zone influences nutrient access, anchoring stability and long-term plant development.
