FAQ

What else do i need with this lighting kit?

A: Absolutely nothing. It’s a complete reef LED kit.
Each Pixel LED bundle includes your chosen Pixel spectrum, the appropriate power supply based on bundle size, mounting hardware, and our auto scheduler. No additional parts or accessories are required.

What tank sizes does the Pixel LED suit, and what coverage can I expect?

A: Pixel LEDs are modular and scalable. Need Pixels for larger tanks? Check the larger bundles here PIXEL LARGER BUNDLES

Does it come with a warranty?

A: Lifetime warranty on all LEDs (diodes) and lenses, and 2-year warranty on all other parts

Do I need to use your mounts or rails?

A: Yes. Pixel LEDs must be mounted to our rails or mounts, as they are designed to function as a heat sink. This keeps the light running cooler, improves long-term stability, and is what allows us to confidently offer our lifetime warranty.

What's the best mounting height?

A: Out of the box, the Pixel rear mounts position the light at approximately 35 cm above the aquarium, which provides an ideal balance between coverage and PAR for most setups.

What's the best settings?

A: Pixel LEDs keep things simple — the spectrum is fixed and does not change. The scheduler adjusts brightness only for smooth sunrise and sunset transitions. If you want custom colour blending, you can combine different Pixel spectrums across your setup.

Reefers - Stop Paying For Lights You’re Afraid to Use - Pixels Have A Lifetime Warranty and Amazing Color lighting bundle pack DALUA

The Pixel REEFER features increased white output combined with a full WRGB spectrum to deliver natural colour rendition and consistent PAR. This balance supports strong skeletal growth, accurate coral colours and long-term reef stability — from soft corals through to SPS.

The Pixel FRAGGER LED is tuned with a heavier blue and UV bias to push coral fluorescence to the limit. Designed to make frags pop, it enhances glow, contrast and colour response while maintaining stable growth. Ideal for propagation systems, frag tanks and display setups where colour sells.

You want smooth, even color — not hotspots.

You want perfect blending — without sacrificing growth.

And you definitely don’t want to lose 30% of your usable light with burnt and yellow lenses.

That’s exactly why DBR (diffusion by refraction) exists.

With DBR lenses, your corals receive uniform coverage, richer color, and full usable intensity — not watered-down PAR. The result? Better growth, better color, and a tank that looks right from every angle.

Once you experience DBR, you won’t go back.

Because balanced light should perform, not compromise.

Used by the best coral facilities worldwide — including World Wide Corals, Top Shelf Aquatics and SaltwaterAquarium.com.

They choose Pixel because they trust the build quality, love the spectrum and spread, and rely on hardware that just works — backed by a lifetime warranty.

When the pros stake their corals on a light, it’s not marketing. It’s confidence.

Bonus included: built-in sunrise and sunset simulation.

Set up to 6 simple time points, and the Illumagic algorithm seamlessly handles the rest — delivering smooth, natural light transitions across a full 24-hour cycle without constant tweaking.

Pixel LEDs For Beginners and Advanced Reefers

The Pixel is like a small reef spotlight. You choose the colour style you want, mount it over your tank, plug it in, and add more Pixels later if your tank grows or your corals need more light.

No Wi-Fi. No app. No confusing channel tuning.

Just pick:

  • Reefer for balanced reef growth
  • Fragger for blue coral pop
  • More Pixels for bigger tanks

Advanced Pixel Knowledge Base

For experienced reefers, the real strength is modularity.

You are not locked into one big fixture. You can build the exact spread you want by combining multiple Pixels across a rail, using different spectrums over different coral zones. That suits frag tanks, lowboys, peninsula tanks, coral trays, mixed reefs, and store systems.

Strong heat-efficiency, the Pixel has very low heat energy loss compared with competitors.

Reef lighting without the nonsense.

The Illumagic Pixel gives reef keepers serious coral colour, strong PAR, and a lifetime lens warranty — without paying for Wi-Fi, fancy packaging, or features you may never use. Start with one, add more as your reef grows.

Start small. Add more later.
